What is UVC lighting?

UVC lighting (along with UVA and UVB) is one of the three types of ultraviolet light that has a short, energetic wavelength of between 200-280 nanometers (nm). UVC kills microorganisms at the DNA level because it prevents their growth, and UVC sterilisation is now commonly used.

What are the benefits of UVC lighting?

UVC lighting possesses a range of benefits, including the following:

Environmentally friendly: Mercury alternatives are harmful to the environment, whereas UVC lights are energy-efficient and do not release toxins.

Cost-effective: As LEDs are more energy-efficient, you will save on your bills.

Safe: They feature built-in safety circuits and sensors.

Instantly turn on/off: Mercury lamps require a warm-up time, whereas UVC LEDs work immediately.

Range of settings: You can set the length of time for the UVC sterilisation. Many of our models have a 20-minute mode and a 2-hour intensive mode.
